In 2012 The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts marked 100th anniversary. During this century it has turned into one of the best museums of the world, where even copies of great artworks are unique — wars of the 20th century have destroyed originals, but here, just like in old times, one can admire rare statues and antique frescos.
The return of the musical mystery
Issuing a full collection of works of any composer is not an easy task. Musical editors, researchers and even performers, who are often involved in this process, spend months, sometimes years, to prepare the issue of the new publication. And when in 2012 Tchaikovsky Charity Fund together with publishing houses “Music” and “P. Yurgenson” Musical publishing house” have planned to issue two volumes of collected works of Alexander Skryabin, it was quite clear how long and difficult the work they were facing was.
From Easter to victory
Easter is the time to give joy to relatives and friends. To prove this, the principal conductor of the Mariinsly Theatre Valery Gergiev each year gathers his colleagues and friends together to give the audience the joy of listening to some of the best examples of Russian and European classical music. And each year Moscow Easter festival embraces more and more Russian cities and exceeds the boundaries of the country.
Russian settlement in the USA
Not every Russian settlement becomes a cultural centre not only for its compatriots but also for hundreds of people of other nationalities. Preserving such places is not an easy task. RENOVA Charity Fund has undertaken obligations to support one of these places — the famous Fort Ross, which marked its 200th anniversary in 2012.
In 2011 RENOVA Charity Fund, the participant of the “Society of friends of the Tretyakov gallery” has responded to this famous Russian museum’s request to support the project, aimed at improving the conditions of keeping, safety and quality of display of artworks in M.Vrubel hall. Thus, one of the biggest parts of the Moscow gallery has found new look, thanks to additional spot lighting of each painting, creation of a frame for the central picture of the hall — “Princess of Dream”, and construction of a podium for orchestra and piano.
